We offer 3 different set training sessions to schools. All sessions are delivered by request and are free of charge.
The Refugee experience
& Recovery Goals
This workshop focuses on understanding the refugee experience prior to arrival in Australia and during resettlement and its impact on students and their families. As this understanding underpins responsive and effective classroom strategies, this workshop is a prerequisite for ‘Understanding the Whole of School Approach’ workshop.
Understanding the Whole
of School Approach
This workshop explores the whole of school approach including school policies and procedures, curriculum and programs, ethos and environment, classroom strategies, using interpreters and partnerships with parents and agencies.
Schools & Families
This workshop provides information and strategies to engage families of refugee backgrounds in schools and promote social connectedness between refugee families and the school community.
