The primary purpose of this role is to provide supervision to internal QPASTT staff who deliver a range of services, including intake and assessment, counselling, youth work, group work, community capacity building and collective healing. The supervisor will lead and nurture staff development through applying supervision frameworks, maintaining professional practice standards and supporting the organisation’s strategic vision of service delivery.
We are particularly looking for a supervisor who can also effectively contribute supervision skills related to:
- Community capacity building
- Collectivist healing approach
- Lived experience staff development/support

Expressive/Creative Arts Therapist (Logan) (Part-time, fixed-term)
The primary purpose of this role, based within a state high school in Logan, is to provide recovery-focused therapeutic intervention with young people who are refugee survivors of torture and/or trauma.
This is a unique opportunity to support the mental health and well-being of young people in a school setting through creative therapeutic approaches. You will work closely with mainly refugee-background students from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, to foster emotional resilience, overcome trauma and encourage personal growth.
The role of an Expressive/Creative Arts Therapist involves assessment, counselling, psychoeducation, client focused advocacy and therapeutic group work. This also includes engagement and consultation with family members and key stakeholders including school staff who are involved in optimising the recovery and well-being of children and young people.
