Group Facilitator – Children and Family Support

The primary purpose of this role is to strengthen family responses to trauma including intergenerational trauma, collective traumatic grief and the negative consequences of conflict and social exclusion. The focus of this role will be to:

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver group and community-based healing processes with children aged 5-12 years and their carers that are developmentally appropriate and encompass mind, body and spirit;
  • Utilise a collaborative approach and work alongside peers within your team and across the organisation as well as children, their carers and the community;
  • Maintain and develop positive and productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including with schools.

Youth Officer – Peace Leadership Project (Townsville)

The Peace Leadership Project Officer will be compassionate and courageous in fostering a sense of belonging and healing through connections, skill building and mentoring support to empower young people and communities impacted by war and conflict. Primarily the role focuses on young people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds.
