QPASTT is offering this training series in the Cairns Region to facilitate professional development for health professionals, service providers, high school and TAFE teachers and other persons involved in the care and support of people from refugee backgrounds.
We will be offering three workshops: Signs & Symptoms of Trauma; Working Cross-Culturally in the Trauma & Settlement Context; and Working with People from Refugee Backgrounds in the Classroom. We have designed these workshops based on the needs identified by service providers in the Cairns region.
Please note: each of these workshops is being offered at a different location, so please check the details of each workshop and the confirmation emails you receive to ensure you turn up to the correct address!
As it is a pre-requisite that all attendees at QPASTT Training sessions first watch our online video “Introduction to the Refugee Experience: The Impact of Trauma”, this video will automatically be emailed to all participants upon registration for any of the sessions. If you have attended QPASTT training previously and have already watched this video, please feel free to ignore this as it is not required that you watch it again.
